Method #3 Cloud Computing

As a librarian Cloud Computing is something that is used every day in the library. We have online services such as our tigercat online catalog. Users can search for online ebooks or books in our online catalog. Cloud Computing allows users to store files on a hosted service over the Internet. Being able to store files such as excel documents along with word documents and being able to bring them up on another computer. Using the storage that is available helps the library to keep up with the current and old files. Storing videos and pictures is something that is also along with the cloud computing. Storing data such as emails and allows users to access their email from another computer no matter where a person is. Cloud Computing is something that is used every day and being able to take advantage of the storage and services all provided by internet connection. Places like Google or Wiki are wonderful examples of this. A user can post a document onto a website, and this allows the document to be viewed by my millions of users of the cloud. Cloud Computing is something that Libraries can use in the daily functions. This feature can help with the enhancement of services being offered to library users making resources more accessible at the click of a mouse.
